Hebrews 2

Hebrews_2

This is My beloved Son, hear Him

Mark 9:7

This was the commanding voice of God that the disciples heard on the mount of transfiguration, and this command is also a warning and an exhortation that we must heed what Jesus Christ has spoken to us.

Bible Passage: Hebrews 2

In the Old Testament, when the people of God disobeyed Him, He dealt with them accordingly. And God is the same yesterday, today, and forever; and so today, He would also deal with us according to His word if we are disobedient.

Jesus said,

And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world.
He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him—the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.

John 12: 47 – 48

Today, we are very much privileged to have the Word of God, the Holy Bible, so readily available to us.

But are our hearts and lips readily willing to say “Amen” to the words that we have understood from the Bible? Not only that, but will our actions and thoughts be readily willing to comply with His commands?

So we must not neglect the Word that had been handed to the Apostles by our Lord Jesus, and then handed down to us through the Apostles.

The privilege of the Word of God being made readily available for us is indeed wonderful and a great blessing, but being the children of God is something that we must appreciate and treasure with a thankful and sincere heart towards God.

For the love of God towards His children, has made Him to take upon the image of a bondservant to walk among men to preach reconciliation between God and men.

At the end of His service, He died on the cross to get rid of the barrier that separates us from God (ref. Hebrews 10:20); so that we can be glorified together with Him.

Our Lord Jesus is also our Great High Priest, and He can empathize with our weaknesses for He was like us, but without sin.

Therefore we can trust Him, and we can come to Him with faith as we face this world that is under the sway of the evil one.

For Jesus also assures us,

These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

John 16:33

May all glory and honor be given to our Great God, Father of love, Jesus Christ.

So let us all, the children of God, be diligent in heeding His Word and to do them.

Shalom

Sometimes, it makes no sense how people can disagree to do and follow something so right and irrefutable.
But the thing about people is, we put our own interests above all else, no matter how much we refuse to admit it at the end of the day.
Because we want the best for ourselves, we forget what actually is the best solution and end up going against what is right to salvage whatever has gone wrong. And then we just get stuck in a self-inflicted mess.
I understand how hard it is to listen to someone else talk in your ear when your gut or your heart is desperately urging you to rely only on what you already know.
As society degrades, there is a reason why the Bible is so readily available to most of us now. It is that double or triple confirmation that our actions are pleasing to both God and man.
Learn to treat the Bible as your conscience. Because even though the Bible was not written by us, it was written for us, and was dedicated to us.
And I think that fact in itself should make us listen to it a whole lot more.
