A Month With The Sermons of Jesus

What’s this?  Sermons again????

I have heard enough sermons every week already!  Why should I spend more time with sermons?

Hold on!  These are no ordinary sermons that you hear every time you come to church.  Sorry Preachers… These Sermons are spoken by the Master Speaker – the Lord Jesus Himself!

Why is it so special that we want to spend a month with them?

You know, even if Jesus never performed a single miracle, He would still be considered as one of the greatest moral philosophers who ever lived.  His teachings are the epitome of true philosophers – where His teachings are not only to be contemplated upon but also to be acted upon.

Remember what Jesus said?

“He who hears my words and does not do them is like a foolish man who builds his house on the sand.”

So what did Jesus teach?

That’s what we are going to find out this month.

So pick up that bible…  grab a highlighter… and start reading famous statements such as “turn the other cheek” (Matt 5:39), “love your enemies” (Mat 5:44), “go the extra mile” (Matt 5:41) and the rule that I always try to live by but often fail… the so called Golden Rule = “Do to others what you want them to do to you” (Luke 6:31).

There are many more of such teachings that we can find in the sermons of Jesus.
