Deuteronomy Chapter 29

The Lord will provide.

V5b Your clothes have not worn out on you, and your sandals have not worn out on your feet. 

The LORD God will provide. We do not need to worry about what to eat or drink or what to wear because our Heavenly Father takes care of us. Yes, as Christians, we will still have to work hard and do our part, but God will provide us with the basic necessities. This does not refer to luxurious living, but enough to get us through.

Keep the covenant.

V10-28 We must not stray from worshipping the One True God, because this is a covenant we have made with God since the day we were baptised, that we would only worship the One True God. We are God’s people and God is God to us (V13).

Some things we will never know.

V29 “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.

There are things we will not know about because these are secret things that belong to God, but there are things that we know and those belong to us. The Word of God is given to us so that we can understand what God wants us to do and when we have obeyed God’s commandments, we will get to see the heavenly kingdom next time, which we can now read about but we will see when we go to heaven. There are other things that are unknown to us too because only God knows of these things, and all the knowledge we have in this world is limited to what God allows too. So there are some things we will also will never think about because we will never know about those things.

Ecclesiastes 1:9 That which has been is what will be,

That which is done is what will be done,

And there is nothing new under the sun.

The world is limited even with how advanced it can be.
