History – 1 Chronicles 15-19

Dear Bro/Sis

GST CREDITS – HAPPY NEWS FOR ALL

1. History has taught us that when a country is doing well in all aspects, the ruling government will usually transfer some of that goodness over to its citizens. It seems most natural and the only right thing to do since the common-folk form the basis of one of the three criteria for a nation: People.

2. This continues to play out in our modern times. When our fathers who were leaders won wars in Canaan, they called for celebrations that lasted well into the span of months. When conquests were successful, celebrations were subsequent. It was all very much a (happy) knee-jerk reaction in the face of success.

3. In our times, this practice remains. As a matter of reflection though, today’s underlying motive for such celebratory practices is one of thanksgiving.

4. I am pleased to inform you that the following praise-God’s Special Treat (GST) credit package you will receive as of now is as shown below:

Payments Amount Date of Payment
Bread A Loaf Immediate
Meat A Piece Immediate
Raisin Cake One Immediate
Rejoicing in the LORD Infinite Immediate

5. After the growth of Israel’s army as recorded in 1 Chron 12, the mention of the army’s presence in Hebron in 1 Chron 13, and our fortified establishment in Jerusalem in 1 Chron 14, we recently reported in 1 Chron 15 the entire event of the eventual return of the ark of the covenant in the lawful method and manner.

6. I ask that you all join me in rejoicing to God. A draft copy of psalm of exultation to God will be released to all in tomorrow’s copy of 1 Chron 16:8-36. It is essential that all of us in Israel join in with song and dance to praise God’s name for His glory has returned to Jerusalem.

“Sing to the LORD, all the earth, Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.”
(1 Chron 16:23)

7. I bring to your attention too that our celebrations are not meant to be like the usual National Deliverance Procession (NDP). While all of this is well-executed, it must be remembered that we are drawing near to a Holy God who is awesome and mighty. We need to humble our hearts, acknowledge our sin and seek the peace of God. I will personally offer the burnt and peace offerings to God and we will seek the blessings God for the entire nation of Israel.

“Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face evermore!”

~1 Chron 16:11

In the service of God our King,

Your king,

David

    For the LORD is great and greatly to be praised;
He is also to be feared above all gods.
For all the gods of the people are idols. (1Chron 16:25-26)

When i first knew Lord Jesus, He is just an English-speaking-God who is very powerful and loves children. i thought He speaks English bec i read about Him in an English book. Silly me.

There are other gods but i want to worship this English-speaking-God bec He is powerful and equally important, He loves children.

Then gradually i read that this God also made the heaven and earth. (1Chron16:26)

He is the true God bec He made all things.

He is the living God bec “Honour and majesty are before Him; Strength and gladness are in His place.”

He reigns till now. He is the only God.

And He is coming to judge the earth.
