Revelation 22

Revelation 22

But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.

1 Peter 4:7

Everything on earth will surely come to an end, are we really feeling the heat and started to be serious and watchful in our prayers? Do we know what’s next?

Bible Passage: Revelations 22

Yes, definitely, we know what’s next for us who belong to the Lord.

Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.

Revelation 22:14

Yes this is the city that all of us who are in the Lord are looking forward to; this is the hope that compels us to do His commandments; for this is the place where we shall see His face and be with Him forever.

In this final chapter, our Lord mentioned 3 times, “I am coming quickly” (ref. v7, 12, 20), and this reminds me of what He said,

And unless the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh would be saved;
but for the elect’s sake, whom He chose, He shortened the days.

Mark 13:20

The End Times is not an easy period for the faithful in the Lord, for Satan will put in all that he has to deceive the elects of God.

But we have a Lord who loves us greatly, so much so that He came in the flesh to suffer for our sins, to open a living way for the salvation of our souls.

He doesn’t want to see us losing our hope in Him, so He will surely come speedily to receive us into His abode.

Our Lord Jesus even sees this salvation plan for man a joy to accomplish in spite of all the pain and shame He had to go through!

looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Hebrews 12:2

So on our part, what is required of us is to keep and do His commandments that He has revealed to us through the Holy Bible.

Let us all be diligent to keep and do His commandments, focusing on the hope that we have understood from this Book of Revelation.

Let us also count it all joy to suffer for the sake of Christ; for we know in the end of all things, we will enter His gates with joy inexplicable!

This post maybe the last one in the year 2011, but let this not be the end of our diligence in seeking to draw closer to our Lord through reading His Word daily.

A new year is coming and so I want to wish all my brethren have a happy and blessed new year ahead.

May our Father in Heaven continue to shower His blessings of wisdom, courage and strength upon us to pastor His flock and to seek out His lost sheep.

Shalom!
