Bible Passage: 2 Kings 5

A maiden took from Israel
Yet found compassion in her soul
For those who scarred her childhood tale
She told of power to make one whole

The warrior great, in his own day
So proud within, so scarred without
Demanded cure in his own way
“The prophet should dance, the prophet should shout!”

How blessed when servants truly serve
To help their master see the light
They told the truth, they held their nerve
“Go wash, be clean!” be erudite

The warrior led in God’s own way
Humbled within, so cleansed without
New flesh restored as his first day
“No other God!” he now would shout

As children we must never fail
The Lord such loves and always will
The maiden took from Israel
The warrior as a baby still
