Romans 11
Bible Passage: Romans 11
For it was through nothing that we had done
No works to boast of; no claims to righteousness
Of all the people in the word, He has known us
And by His grace, and *only* by His grace, we are wild olive branches grafted into
Him, the olive tree bearing the holy firstfruit and full of richness
A privilege and grace immeasurable
And from aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise
We have been brought near from far off
Through the precious blood of Christ Jesus
Though unworthy, branches were broken off that we might be grafted in and in
Him, we, who were once disobedient, receive mercy
Therefore, we are told ‘Do not be haughty, but fear’
And for this reason, let us remain in Him
Continuing in His goodness
To stand in faith and continual thanksgiving
To cherish this grace every moment of our lives until
Him, we meet again
Together with all who remains in and returns to this tree; the elect who
Are imputed with righteousness
For we believe
All that He does, He does in love and justice
Though we may not understand at times
Things that do not make sense to us
May be happening around us but we must remember that
To God, His foolishness is wiser than our wisdom
and Him to
Whom all things belong
His understanding is unsearchable so let us
Be humble before Him and
Let all
Glory be to God, who is the creator and sustainer of all
And has been, is being and will be
Forever
Amen

Who is God?
God is “For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever” in Rom 11:36
God seems far far away.
Is this the God whom Paul knew?
God is one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all in Eph 4:6.
God is to whom be glory forever. And God is also Father of all.
He watches over His household.
He walks amidst His children.
He abides in His children.
The God to whom be glory forever is our Abba, Father.
Such awe. Such comfort.
